Holograph

A little help, when you need it.

Start here for folder access, playback and reporting a problem.

Contact support

Email 0zm4@pm.me for help with Holograph.

Include your Holograph version and build (Holograph → About Holograph), macOS version, Mac model, what you expected and the steps that reproduce the issue. Crop or redact screenshots before sending them.

For playback issues, include the container and codec names if available. Please send a small synthetic or freely shareable sample only when it helps reproduce the problem. Do not send passwords or a personal media library.

Add your folders

  1. Use Add Folder in the sidebar or Library menu, then select a media folder in the macOS picker.
  2. Select that folder in the sidebar to browse its images and videos.
  3. If a folder is unavailable, reconnect its drive or download its cloud files. Use the app’s folder picker to authorize access again when needed.

Holograph works with your original folders. Removing a library entry removes it from the sidebar without deleting the source folder.

A file will not open

A filename extension alone does not guarantee playback. Container format, video and audio codecs, subtitle tracks and file integrity all matter. Check that the file is downloaded and opens in another suitable player.

MKV playback uses Holograph’s bundled native reader. If an updated installation cannot open a previously working MKV, quit and reopen Holograph, confirm your version, then contact support with the codec details and reproduction steps.

Keep cloud files available

Cloud services can evict a file while leaving its name visible. Download the original through Finder before trying playback or analysis again. Cached thumbnails can remain visible even when the original is unavailable.

Browse and inspect

Select an item to inspect its details. Double-click to open it in the viewer. Use the inspector’s dock/full and close controls to arrange the interface. Excluded folders stay out of All Folders until you restore them.

Beta feedback

If you are testing through TestFlight, you can send feedback there with the build number and reproduction steps. Review attached screenshots first. Apple shares beta feedback and diagnostic information with the developer as described in its TestFlight privacy notice.
